Happy Mother's Day!

Posted by nfpvic at 09:21 PM on May 8, 2005.

WELL! I hate:
1) The SATs. I am almost POSITIVE that I did horribly on it yesterday morning. OH well, that's why the test is also offered in October. :D
2) Reading the latter half of Absalom, Absalom! in one day. Holy crap, it took me about 8-10 hours. No exaggeration.
3) CALCULUS TESTS. This Wednesday. *dies*
4) Campaign-related anxiety. Candidate forum (aka, speeches and Q&A session) tomorrow. Then two days of voting, and then results on Thursday. I'm so nervous! xB
5) Essays. OMG, I'm so sick of writing. And I have at least 3 more essays for English alone. And one of them is on Absalom, Absalom!. BAH.
6) Multiple-choice History Exams. Craaap, I gotta start studying.
7) Experiencing loss of hunger. I haven't been hungry at all lately! I hardly ate anything today o_O I almost even skipped breakfast. I mean, dude. That's unheard of for me.

I love:
1) My Mother :D
2) Mother's Day cake. Small, expensive, but delicious.
3) VALUE FREAKING VILLAGE. Got a nice 6-dolla formal skirt for the formal candidate forum tomorrow.
4) Summer vacation. I'm looking forward to it SO MUCH. I can't waiit!
5) Cross-country fundraisers. We're having a Roundtable Pizza Takeover on Tuesday; I'm excited :D Though I really shouldn't go, since I'll be taking my calc test the next day. Oops!
6) New Tabulas layouts. I have one on photoshop right now. I'll be uploading it sometime this week!
7) Winning things. As in, elections. I really wanna wiiiin :OOO!

I'll start replying to journals and comments soooon! T-T; I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!

The Low-down

Posted by nfpvic at 09:30 PM on May 14, 2005.

So, election. Well, I lost the election to that other girl: the score was me: 183, her: 200. DAMN! But it's coo, it's coo!

I would have actually had to quit a lot of things had I been in student government, including Korean class and all sports. And I'd rather be a penniless, semi in-shape Korean than a rich, fat unKorean. :D Speaking of fat, while previously (a couple days ago) I was oddly unhungry and eating quite sparingly, lately I've been eating all this junk. UGH. Need to stop. But not in a Lindsay Lohan way. Sick. But anyway.

Turns out there's maybe a scandal involved with the elections as well! Here's the email that all the candidates received yesterday:
(matt's email)

Aw damn~~~! :D I may just win in the end! However, as I just said, even if I get offered the position, I don't think I'm going to take it. Too much work, too much time consumption, and too little exercise.

TRACK IS FREAKING OVER FOR THE 2005 YEAR. TIGHT. This means XC is starting up soon! (in three weeks) AND, this means that preparation for the HAWAII trip is taking place!! I'm so excited. No, I am SO excited. Shoot dang. it'll be sooo coo!!

Ahh, today was an excellent day. In the morning I did nothing, after the morning, I cleaned my car, and then I went to the mall with kat. We saw the hottest guy working at Hot Topic. Holy CRAP. Think of a gothic love child between Nate Jensen and Jacob Call. OMGsjdkfldskjflsd!!! And he FREAKING TALKED WITH US!! Twice. TWICE!! Once was when we were watching heather on my camera (we had busted it out to try to take a pic of him, and then it was too dangerous so we pretended to be looking at pics XD) and he came over and chatted briefly, and then when I asked him to open up the dressing rooms so I could try on THE hamster t-shirt (a youth medium; still too big, however), and then after I tried it on and it was too big and he was talking about washing shirts and it was ADORABLE. DUDE no, that's three times. DUDE. He was cute. So cute that we've named him Brandon. Hot Topic Brandon, or Hot Brandon for short XD

And so, after we were about to leave, I was like, "SHOOT kat, we need to go back and look at him again." And on our way back, we were talking about english class and about hating rosco and guess who was walking right in front of us? ROSCO. XDDD We tried to take an image of him too, but it was much too dangerous. But freaking hilarious. FREAKING hilarious.

Then we went to caro's. Ahh, I love Caro. Jimbly was too busy for us :/ but we had fun pictures and coke and I had a snack of egg rolls while kat had teriyaki (I already ate previously so no dinner for me). Lots of memories, including drawings, tuscan flesh, homemade thongs, and cannibalism. And preparation for a certain loser get-togehter. It'll be toight.

Election Stuff

Man, even though I lost the election, I had the coolest everything regarding my candidacy. And although they look a lot better while printed out, still. Observe:

A quarter-sized sheet that I passed out to people

Kind of a "Good News, Band News" Sort of Lately

Posted by nfpvic at 03:28 PM on May 26, 2005.

And that's no typo in the title; I meant to use "lately" as a noun.

Good:
I got an award yesterday night for the Pierce College's Outstanding Student of 2005 in the English Department, complete with a framed certificate and a congratulatory letter.
Bad:
The awards ceremony was a VERY formal event, to which I donned jeans and a track jacket. XD

Good:
Talked to my HS counselors today in regard to college, and both Mr. Foley and Ms. Power said that with my SAT score of 2150, I'll almost definitely get National Merit.
Also, the SAT II Subject Test for Literature involves interpretation of fiction and poetry, which I LOVE.
Bad:
WELL! I had been planning on taking three SAT II tests in November, and it turn out that taking 3 tests on one day is a VERY stupid thing to do according to Adam Robinson and just about every high school counselor on the planet. So apparently I'm taking the SAT II Lit Test in June! And by "June," that means... next week Saturday. I have, um, one week to prepare for it (and I can't retake it if I screw it up) and I have to pay 35 extra dollars as a stand-by fee, and even then I'm not sure that I'll be able to take it next week Saturday. Shoot dang!

Good:
I was totally right that Mr. Simpson was bluffing about the "you have to take the multiple choice test at least once" this quarter, and he has opened the option for the 4 page essay to everyone.
Bad:
I already agreed to write a 10-page paper on why communism, one of the most idealistically altruistic forms of government known to mankind, tends to appeal to evil men. MAN. XD

Good:
School's almost out! Last final is on the 8th!
Bad:
Two of my final papers are due next Friday, along with a huge chapter test for Calculus! And did I mention that I'm taking the SAT II Lit Test on Saturday?

Good:
I'm going to step aerobics today! Leaving in about... 6 minutes!
Bad:
This session is called "Step Aerobics and Core Conditioning." Core Conditioning sounds frightening. As well, I have not step aerobicised in months. As I drive to McCord, I'll be mentally preparing myself for pain.

And this one's kind of old and backward, but it's still coo and definitely worth mentioning:

Bad:
A few weeks ago, I lost the election for student government.
Good:
PARTY ON SATURDAY. SHOOT FREAKING DANG.

And here are some simply coo things:

Good:
Me and Kat are exercise partners! We're helping each other get in shape :D It's quite fun and it helps a lot to have someone else to prod you into exercising daily...

Good AND kinda Bad:
SUMMER XC STARTS JUNE 6TH!

Good:
I cleaned out my email inbox a little while ago, and it makes me happy.

And now for something random:
(Jacked from Meg)
