HEIDI!!

Posted by nfpvic at 09:31 PM on September 30, 2004.

Oh okay, first the debate: I thought it was not bad. No real surprises and no killer lines.. Kerry did well, but not even close to an ass kickin' well, which is what he sorely needed. Bush isn't a great debater, but he always comes across as passionate and honest. Definitely got his points across. Kerry made some big mistakes; he has ideals, but no explanations. Still hasn't enlightened us on how he's going to get heavy military support from countries such as France (which Bush unfortunately didn't address), and the "global test" thing was a huge error, and Bush took full advantage of it. Overall, it was pretty repetitious and a bit boring and I think it could make things closer, but nothing big by any means. Especially because it was so civil and cleancut and non-violent that I doubt many swing-voterswatched past the first bit. I'll still be watching the next one though :P

ANYHOW~

I missed the closing statements of the debates because... I INSTEAD WENT TO HEIDI'S V-BALL GAME!!!! Holy crap, it was so much fun! I didn't expect it to be that intense, but those girls were ON!! Curtis WON of course~ but shoot, close games! (Oh, and there were three guys from Decator (the other team) that were cheering for their team really loudly and gaily; luckily they lost so they looked stupid instead of funny, cute, or spirited.)

I came with Jinny and Scott, and man... it was great. I was screaming my head off, like usual! I squeaked a couple of times too, hehe. I was so mad though-- Jinny had to leave early because of her parents :O! I hope she's not in trouble.... gaah. Well, me and Scott stayed for the rest of the game and it was definitely a blast. Wish Jinny could have been there~~ It was so exciting and we were ABSORBED! Tons and tons of action and we were both holding our breaths during every rally.. it's amazing to watch them play. Heidi is so freakin' good at v-ball, and she played incredibly! Her serves are awesome and she made some killer shots. Post-game, we hugged and cheered and chatted for a while. We'll have to go again sometime-- YAY!

Now I have to go wash up and check my that math homework is all perfect. Good night!

[EDIT: Sister Toldjah imagines: What if it were Kerry versus.. Zell Miller? XD OH shoot, I would DIE of happiness.]

Evans/Agee and my autobiography today

Posted by nfpvic at 08:31 PM on October 10, 2004.

Straight from my AIM away message, as I am too lazy to make an entry of substance and/or creativity:

Essays are bad. What're worse are conventional essays on abstract subjects (such as the one I have assigned for english 101). And the only possible things worse than that are Self-Ethnography reflection essays about the cultural chapters of your life (for the evil that is anthropology 104).

So, thank God they're due Tuesday. Or, aw sh#t they're due Tuesday. Take your pick.

Praise Jesus for allowing satire

Now, I'm not really a movie-going person. I mean I like movies alright, but I'm not a fanatic by any means. They're just too much money (yes, 5-8 bucks is too much) for too little gain, in my opinion. So under normal situations, I probably wouldn't consider going to see Team America: World Police even under the coersion of friends, nevertheless consider going to see it alone.

..But when the freakin' Wall Street Journal (or more precisely, the Opinion Journal of the WSJ) tells me it's the 'feel good hit of the season,' how can I say no? And did I hear, Michael Moore exploding? The gratuitous destruction of French establishments?

Oh man, can't wait til I turn 17 XD (12 more days!)

PS: And I can't decide which is most hilarious. Though I think Johnny Nuance wins XD

Cross Country Sub-districts were today at Spanaway Lake Park. I got my worst time ever on this course, but I honestly don't care too much since I just run for the exercise, not for the times hehe. HOWEVER, the XC varsity girls team made it to districts! As did the boys varsity :D Districts is at American Lake on my birthday, October 30th, and I might just go to cheer them on.. hmm...

Well holy crap. I'm exhausted and I'm severely sleep-deprived. I've got much more to say but I need to sleep. Now.

I'll end with this little piece of irritation, brought to my attention by Drudge:
(Someone please tell me, since when is 65 y/o young?)

Be ashamed, guilty for your whiteness.

Posted by nfpvic at 08:36 PM on October 26, 2004.

I. am. DONE. With Cross-Country. For this year.
*does jumping jacks of ecstasy*
Now I can just exercise, without having to run hills or do half-mile repeats or die in meets... YES.

You know what's even better: I'm SO FREAKING DONE with cultural diversity training! Actually, I was done on Sunday afternoon, but it still deserves mentioning and its completion deserves celebration because it was 16-17 hours of pure, intensive torture. I have never in my life encountered that much anti-White anti-American racism and soft bigotry in one humongous, painful dose. I "learned" that we must embrace diversity by.. insisting that people of different races will never be able to understand each other? By creating even more social categories and stereotypes? By blaming everything on those who aren't considered a minority? THAT sounds like equality!

The experience was made complete with "Touched by an Angel"-esque outbursts of emotion: at random times during the training, people would suddenly remember some "traumatic" moment of racism or discrimination from their childhood and they would share it with the class in a tearful and vengeful monologue. Maritza would go up to them, hold their hand, and have them voice out at their oppressors, the words "they... just-- they just could never get the courage say." *poignant, faraway look* And then we would all stand up with them, showing that we were united together as allies.

...holy hell. It was so retarded. Thank GOD Kat was there suffering with me through the agony. Our chats, sarcasm and adventures (like the one at Lacoste) were quite magnificent!

Anyway, I need to start updating my tabu more. A lot happened very very recently, but man, I'm too lazy to give a thorough update. :/
