Track begins! :D
Posted by nfpvic at 05:32 PM on March 2, 2004.
First day of track was today.. (well the 2nd day of the season, but I skipped yesterday's practice to get my physical updated so this was my first day) It was surprisingly good! I had more friends there than I thought I would :O Like I already knew that Heather and Holly would be there, but Britney (senior from cross country) was there too! *cheers* Britney rules :) A lot of the "hardcore" cross country people are also on the team, which isn't very surprising, hehe. Today's practice wasn't bad, either. I feel pretty good right now! It feels like I just had a nice cardio workout.. nothing's really sore, and I have that nice happy floaty feeling in my lungs. I don't even mind running around a track-- it's not nearly as bad as some people say it is. I think I'll be able to survive the season!

Regionals!
Posted by nfpvic at 08:53 PM on March 6, 2004.
Yes, we went to regionals today...for knowledge bowl!! ..hey now, stop laughing.. hehe. KB regionals was pretty fun actually. The junior and senior teams made it to state, while we sophomores.. *coughcough* Ahem. Well, we did pretty well for sophomores, I'd say! Plus we only had three people.. because a certain someone quit like, two weeks until the end of the season. ... DAMN YOU TOMMY! *shakes fist at him* hehe Aubrey was all like, "where'd what's-his-bucket go?" Ahhaha mormon euphemisms~ [note subtle use of honors english vocabulary :P] I dunno if I'm just crazy, but I found that really funny XD
We had lots of good food at regionals, too! And as Johan-Jeremiah (:P) pointed out, me and him were supposed to be at track practice this saturday morning, but instead, we were sitting around and eating doughnuts and pizza. Which was perfectly fine with me :D Played cards most of the time, just like at the Tacoma Invitational. Hehe me and Schmiernoff-Eissenmann (aka nate XDXD) were conspiring and cheating soo much, which made everything much more fun and also pissed off Ronnie XD (which, needless to say, contributed to the funness as well). *grins* Oh, Tori's sister Ameilia is a nice young lass. Sounds juuust like Tori, too :D I felt bad that she was kind of dragged to her sister's knowledge bowl tourney, of all things.. I think she was fairly entertained, however, playing 13 with me, Schmiernoff, and Ron :)
Hmm, I feel pretty retarded and a bit ashamed to admit, but I kinda want to go to the state for knowledge bowl.. I think it'd be fun, even though I wouldn't be in the rounds :D Especially since it's overnight!! I loove school trips in general (like the UW trip w/ band, gresham, the trip to canada..) and depending on how much roaming freedom we're allowed to have (hopefully lots), it'd be awesome to wander around the other side of washington! Plus it'd be free.. Now assuming that the actual tourney time is, at most, 6-7 hours, and they're leaving at about 6:00 am, the total roamage time would be loots :O hmm.. maybe I'll ask k-dogg if they'd like to have a mascot tag along :D
Well now I'm going to go study the evils of nihongo conjugation!

ich bin kaputt
Posted by nfpvic at 07:13 PM on March 8, 2004.
I am _sooo_ tired right now, and I haven't even started any of my homework X( Track for long distance runners is absolutely murderous. Not only is the running tough, (four 1/2 mile repeats, with a mile jog as a warm-down *dies*) but we have insane toning mini workouts too! We're doing these daily interval thingies that include (but are definitely not limited to) at least 180 crunches and 45 pushups before our runs.. and today we did even more crunches than usual (over 200!!). I'm going to be sore like crazy tomorrow. Shall be surprised if I can walk. Still, I think it'll be worth it in the end. By the end of track season, I'm (hopefully) going to be one fit child :P I actually enjoy track, despite the pain. The only thing I really, really don't want to do is the meets..
Hrm... I wonder if there's a way that I can duck out of like.. every single track meet of the season..

Fortunately.. unfortunately..
Posted by nfpvic at 07:51 PM on March 9, 2004.
Remember those "fortunately, unfortunately" picture books/story things that were all like, "I fell off a cliff today.. fortunately, I had a parachute.. unforunately it didn't work. Fortunately I landed safely in a pile of hay.. unfortunately.. etc."? Well that's kind of how my day went :P
Today I had full orchestra rehearsal. Fortunately, I remembered. Unfortunately, I remembered rather late. Fortunately, I got there on time. Unfortunately, I had only one minute to spare :P
Today I had Honors English. Unfortunately, we had a greek roots test for lesson 6. Fortunately, it was nice and short. Unfortunately, we had to write evil derivatives for the word parts that NO ONE could remember... fortunately, Mrs. Peterson accidently left up the Greek derivatives poster, and I noticed in time to make good use of it! XD
Today I had Jazz Band. Unfortunately, I played like UTTER CRAP the entire day, and I got worse on every song. Fortunately, we had a sub in the class. Unfortunately, we had to record ourselves and I horribly screwed up every solo that I had, even my retarded two-measure-not-even-a-solo solo in Salt Peanuts, and it's now on CD for the rest of eternity, meaning Mr. DePalatis will most definitely hear it, will most definitely be pissed, and will probably play it on Thursday in class so I can have a 2nd humilation. ..Fortunately, I'll be gone from Jazz Band on Thursday thanks to orchestra! PRAISE, PRAISE JESUS!!! XD
(I can't think of good 'fortunately, unfortunately' scenarios for orchestra, lunch, and math, so I'll pretend I never had those today *grins*)
Today I had track practice. Fortunately, it was an easy day. Unfortunately, "easy" in track language means running four miles, five if you include all the warm-up crap we had to do. Fortunately, people tend to pity slow folks like me and are very nice to me :D (like andrew gessel gave me nice encouraging words when he lapped me.. twice XD) Today Mr. Mangrum stressed the importance of running with buddies, especially girls, despite skill level. Unfortunately, no one is even close to being as slow as I am. Fortunately, I prefer to run by myself.. no pressure to make idle chat :P Unfortunately, Mr. Mangrum found out that I ran by myself and got a bit peeved... Fortunately, he wasn't mad at me :D
Today I had piano lessons. Fortunately, I almost have my two songs for adjudications memorized. Unfortunately, my adjudications are on Thursday, so I only have one night to memorize them (two nights if I decide to get off the comp and practice). Fortunately, .. well, there is no fortunately directly relating to this topic.. but my teacher chose me for the honor recital again! (It's on the 21st.. exciting :P I'll be playing Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat, Opus 9 no. 2)
This is a long post. Unfortunately, I'm getting sick of writing this way. Fortunately, nothing else happened today, so I'm done! :P
So now the decision.. should I practice piano..? or get on aim... hmm...

AHH-- that's the -lovely- smell of track
Posted by nfpvic at 06:39 PM on March 12, 2004.
Ewww I'm stinky XD but happy! Because hey look, I'm not teaching today :D! :D! :D! My student has the "flu," or so she says. Whatever. As long as I don't have to spend an hour with trying to coerce that kid into playing the music (note by note, at an insanely slow pace, because she's "too sleepy" or "doesn't get it" meaning she doesn't want to try), I'm satisfied.
Speaking of piano, I had my piano adjudications yesterday. I sucked incredible ass. :/ The adjudicator was a little crazy too, but oh well. I have an honors recital ooon.. the 20th? 21st? One of those days. I'll hopefully do much better then :D
Biology was really good today; it's always really good when we get to choose our lab partners! I get to work with Kyle L. who's really smart and cool.. and our test subject was a nice guy too *grins* hehehe he had to step up and down on a chair for an entire minute, while breathing through a straw, and then I had to count his breaths by putting my hand like, 3 millimeters away from his nose XD it was really weird, but fun!
The rest of my classes were either boring or sucked. Deutsch wasn't that bad, actually, since I got to talk to Heidi lots :D! She's so much fun. Then track. AHHH. 1500 meter time trial (why we didn't just do a mile is a mystery to me..). I suck sooo much, but as I've said many-a times before, people always pity the slow people, hehe.
Tomorrow's Gresham~ I'm not as pumped as in Junior High.. it just doesn't mean that much to me anymore. Plus I don't think we'll win :/ BUT I'm looking forward to eating XD I mean, I really, really love food! Much more than the average person. Hehe Heidi's gonna be a chef-- that is the coolest profession ever! If I could cook worth crap, I would totally be a chef too.. unfortunately, I can't make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without somehow screwing it up and making it nasty X( Hrm, I think I'm going to take Gourmet Foods next year... should I? I'm being serious! ;P

Evil 2nd Place..
Posted by nfpvic at 06:25 PM on March 14, 2004.
Gresham was this weekend.. lots of fun, although we only got 2nd place *throws a fit* BLAAAH!!! I'm reaally mad since we played -so- well in the finals..!! not fair. We deserved 1st! Even a few of the people from Newport (the winners) said so. Some of the Newport students were such assholes though... they literally waved their Newport T-shirts in our faces as they went to get their trophy. ...
But anyway, I had a blast otherwise. Lots of talking, lots of eating.. I ate a -TOOON- of stuff! Quizno's, Chocochip Teddy Grahams, prezels, pizza, ice cream, breakfast pastries, oranges.. I practically ate all the food that saw XD To compensate, I'll have to eat like a Quaker this week and I'll have to refrain from skipping track.. ack-- the horrid price of health!
After we got back from the trip, me, Heather, and Monica met up at Barnes & Noble to finish our Greek Derivatives Crazy Story for English XD It's AWESOME! Monica brought her laptop, Heather brought the words and definitions, and I wrote. It was so much fun! We were loud and hyper and really... excited! XD!! After we finished, we walked around and bonded.. it was a great afternoon.
Ack, I've still got homework to do for English.. but I'm soo tired! *sighs* Gotta do whacha gotta do..

Math team competition today! XD My teams sucked performance-wise, but I had fun in between the actual "mathing" since Monica, Ray and Jeremy were all there :D and Monica got us McDonald's *<3s her!!* (oh, and we pulled a knowledge bowl by playing 13 during the final rounds X3)
Thanks to that, I decided to skip track. Again. I wonder if Salzman or Mangrum will yell at me..? Meh. Even if they do, I won't care.. what are they gonna do, kick me off the team? oooh no~ :P So for exercise today, I played DDR-- 500 calories worth, to be exact! I'm starting to -OWN- standard mode..! Well okay, not really (not really at ALL), but I can pass a good deal (3?) more than I could a few months ago :D Whoohoo!
Morgen habe ich eine deutsch Arbeit. Neeeiiinnn.... Jetzt bin ich kaputt, deshalb werde ich gehen.. tschues!
(random PS: oh yeah, and today my school's librarian called to tell me that I need to return my two month-overdue books o_o waahh creepy!!)

WAAAAAAH!!
Posted by nfpvic at 06:01 PM on March 18, 2004.
It was -soo- incredibly cold today during the track meet!! I didn't have to run (praise Jesus), but I was attempting to help out and cheer for people, so I was outside for a good deal. The wind was utterly merciless. I was having trouble talking because my mouth went numb with coldness... I've been indoors since 4:30, I'm wearing two shirts and a sweatshirt and sweats over my jeans in attempt to warm up.. and I'm still cold (it's almost 6:00)!!
I'm gonna go huddle in a corner now..

How good of a citizen AM I..?
Posted by nfpvic at 04:40 PM on March 20, 2004.
I'm thinking about joining
this thinger.. Lots and lots of community service :O might be fun, too! But do I have time/transportation/commitment? hmm.. tough decision..
Today started off with an 8:00am dentist appointment. Ick. No cavities, but evil evil 1 minute flouride mouthwash crap~ I hate that stuff as I hate hell T_T Then Track practice at 10:00! It wasn't cool.. it was fun at first when I still got to talk w/ Heather, but then we split up into our groups as always. I had to run 5 miles *dies* which was the bare minimum.. the fast girls ran 7-8 miles, while the fast (and healthy) guys had to run 10-11. Ouch. Again, the run was alright when I was running with Holly, but then her legs were acting up again (poor holly!) so I was by myself.. running up stupid 27th with it's stupid neverending hill..
Got home, ate, showered, studied, ate again, got online, ate crackers.. and now I'm here. Productive day, eh? :P
Confessions!
Posted by nfpvic at 08:31 PM on March 20, 2004.
Found an interesting site today:
http://grouphug.us/
Site of confessions! Some are really funny, but a lot are just pervy and sex-related (and a lot I find hard to believe). Here are some of the better (and cleaner) ones:
"Back in elementary school we were playing kickball as a class. One guy that I hated had just kicked the ball and was running towards first, admiring his shot when he ran right into the soccer goal post. The resulting "clang" was the best sound I have ever heard in my life, and I burst out laughing. My classmate yelled at me saying 'it isn't funny.'
Actually, it was. very much so."
"I ran out of deoderant so I used my dads. Now it kind of burns."
"I feel like slapping my girlfriend when she wakes up early and brings a cup of yogurt back into bed with her. Hearing that disgusting slurping sound at 6 am when I am trying to sleep pisses me off. I honestly feel like punching her. She does this every morning, every single f-ing morning."
"I wish I was Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Every time I'm in some forest I look for a clearing with magical trees"
"When I was a kid, I thought I was the reincarnation of jesus. every once in awhile, I still do."
"this boy fell asleep in my art class yesterday so my friend and i put crayons up his nose. he was pretty mad when he woke up so i apologized and even made him an "i'm sorry i put crayons in your nose while you were sleeping" tape. the truth is, i'm not really that sorry, and i'd definitly do it again. "
hehehe. Man I'm bored XD

Honors recital today at 4:00!! omg omg omggg.... I'm playing Nocturne in E flat Major, Opus 9 no. 2... ich bin so nervös...
(Ack I also have english and math homework to do.. must not forget! Dude, I had a nightmare last night that I was too lazy to read the rest of The King Must Die and that the commentary was due that day.. and it was two hours before school started. I was typing out something on the computer, while contempating whether or not to fake sick and stay home XD; kinda crazy!)
The Results...
Posted by nfpvic at 08:05 PM on March 21, 2004.
Honors recital: oooh god, no comment XD we'll leave it at that :P
BUT I completed my math and english homework! I'm proud XD My math homework was especially stupid, so I'm proud that I didn't procrastinate it until lunch. *nodnod* I also read about 50-some more pages into TKMD, out of 200 I need to finish by.. Thursday at the latest (but I plan to finish it all by Tuesday). Now I just need to study my Greek roots for the test.. but that'll be done later. :P
Enough school talk! Ack I need to get my Driver's License.. but I have no time! *falls* Well first I need to sit down and take the written exam. Then I need to schedule a drive test.. my plan: two-to-three days before the test, I drive for hours, perfecting everything momentarily, then I barely pass the exam with an 80/100, obtaining my license! Failproof, eh? :D
And Tuesday = another track meet. Luckily I still don't have enough practices! *grins*
In abooout 25 minutes I'm gonna get off of the computer and DDR away at least some of the huge load of junk food I've eaten this weekend.. so now I'll make the most of my online time by getting on aim!

LOSER!!
Posted by nfpvic at 06:30 PM on March 22, 2004.
Hehe I was so happy today for the nerdiest reasons! First off: the Greek derivatives story that me, Heather, and Monica wrote was voted as the BEST in our English class!!! WAAH!! Mrs. P. was all like, "This story won by far, hands down, so don't even argue." BAM! That's right XD So we all won kitkat bars.. it was the best kitkat I had ever eaten *grins*
Theeen... nothing really good happened in Jazz Band :/ Sight read, then played T.O., then 15-20 minutes to talk.. meh. But in orchestra, we had a pizza party! Yummy yummy pepperoni.. but I think I'm getting really fat now, ick. I've eaten horribly all weekend. The scale hasn't moved, but I feel nasty. :/
But anyway, the nerdy thing: during orchestra, me and Monica found out that we could still do the Team Project for Math Team, and be the presentation people!! XD!!!!! Ohh myy, I am seriously so excited!! Those are definitely our strengths; we're both really good at english, power point presentations, and public speaking.. so we're gonna kill at states! WHOO!
Then I had -actual- math class.. I sit by Sean and Bethany now-- a good thing :D Math is pretty boring, but I love Mr. Buell! He's so fun. Today he said I was his hero XD teeheehee.
Finally, I had Knowledge Bowl. Waaaah Mr. Keller was on our team! It was so fun! I love Mr. Keller, hehe. We beat the seniors~ X3 ja!
I tried to go to track practice, but they were all done running by the time I got there.. good deal, good deal! Mr. Mangrum's all cool about my missing practices too, which helps a lot~ he's a great coach, definitely *nodnod*
Man, I don't feel like practicing piano.. It just reminds me off how badly I screwed up yesterday :/ so I think I'll just sit around procrastinating my homework.. yes..

When Biology is the best class of the day...
Posted by nfpvic at 06:20 PM on March 23, 2004.
When Biology is the best class of the day, it's a very sad day. XD Today, every one of my classes was so boring. Especially Intro to Business.. I just kept on looking at the clock, and time was passing so slowly *dies* I don't even want to think about it. Then Careers sucked as usual, and so did German (even though I only had 45 minutes of the class due to track, it was sooo long!). Lunch was great though! Me, Ray, and Monica are all going to raise money together for Relay for Life via bakesale! :D! I'm so excited.. we'll have to plan together.. but I think we can do it! hehe.
Track meet was alright. Heather did really well :D and Travis is the EXACT combo of Ray and Barret; it's so weird! He even kind of looks like a stretched out combination of them.. crazy. I (still not eligible to run :D) measured for discus. Pretty easy, but it helped out the coaches, so I liked it! I broke part of the measuring tape though :X oops.
Bleeeh I need to finish The King Must Die tonight so that I can write my commentary without being screwed over time-wise. So I'll get on top of my English homework riiiiight.. later XD

I. HATE. Novel Shares for Honors English *dies* Evil commentaries!! They're long and hard and stupid and Mrs. Peterson grades so mercilessly.. I just finished my commentary and vocab, and they suck -so- bad.. This is the worst essay I have written in my life. Seriously. It beats the Frankenstein essay I wrote earlier this year XOOO I'm contemplating getting "sick" tomorrow morning. hrm.. is it worth it...? I mean, it's Friday afterall, might as well stick through with it, but @#$! tomorrow will suck.
A lot of good things happened today, but I'm too freakin' tired to write anything more :P
March 26th, 2004
FRIDAY!! and the Usual School Briefing :P
Posted by nfpvic at 07:19 PM on March 26, 2004.
I decided not to fake sick this morning, and it was a very good decision :D (though still, my English grade may suffer... the essay I turned in was completely horrible x_x) Today had lots and lots of goodness..
First off, in English, we didn't have a vocabulary test! :D:D!! THANK GOD! I knew nothing, hehe. It was a pretty fun period, too; I learned a lot about topic sentences! Someone made me kind of irritated though, and I think Monica was a bit irritated too.. :/ oh well.
Then came jazz band and nothing great happened, except I got some jelly beans from Jessi *grins* But then we had orchestra, where we got to choose when to take lunch and have the other time as study hall! That was a very very good thing since I didn't do my math homework :X (Hey, I was up until 11:50 last night finishing up my crappy essay-- I had no time for math!) Hehe, Matt came by to visit and we chatted a bit :P and I stole some of his gummi fruits from him :F Fun fun indeed!
Lunch was alright.. It would have been better if I had finished all my math homework in orchestra, but I got too distracted and didn't, hehe (and Ray hit me because of that! :O which was CRUEL but I <3 him still anyway :P) so I did it during lunch.
Math was nice because I got to leave at 2:05 for track even though I didn't run because I'm still not eligible, ahahaha! Sean tried to get me in trouble because of that, but luckily Mr. Buell doesn't listen nor care!
Track meet was pretty good! Even though I was absolutely freeeezing. I hung out with Travis for practically the whole time; he assigned me to be his trainer buddy person for the day :P He's so fun! It was great :D I was so mad though; Ray was supposed to come too!! *pouts* That would have been awesome.. but I had a great time anyhow.
Then I came home and ate dinner and had a donut (!! :D), and to top it all off, my piano student didn't come~ PRAISE JESUS! Day off!! I love not having to teach.. Fridays should be a day of rest *nodnod*
OH!!

cookieeess....
Posted by nfpvic at 06:18 PM on March 28, 2004.
Went to meg's house, had a BLAST!
Meg's cookies are the best. I ate five XD we talked a bit and then we illegally transported ourselves to Safeway/Big Lots and bought top secret stuff.. :D The Safeway cashier was kind of like Michael Zetterburg(sp?)!! Except.. we think the cashier might have been gay.. but he was cool though!
Then I went home and found out that, by hanging out with meg, I got out of doing yardwork~ sweet.
Now I'm just lazing on the comp, and holy crap, I think I'm not procrastinating any homework this Sunday night! It's amazing-- and very rare *nodnod*I can actually.. relax... :O

rebellious, eh?
Posted by nfpvic at 07:29 PM on March 29, 2004.
On some days, I just feel so pointless and useless, and I wonder what the heck am I doing with my relatively few years on earth.. and then there are days like today, when I realize who cares about purpose or use or points or whatever-- life is AWESOME! :D! It was just one of those days where, when I think about it, nothing great happened, and yet I loved it :)
Morning had its suckiness:
Meg forgot her cookies and circumstances were such that she couldn't complete her mission! :O nooo!!! Wednesday,
Meg! Wednesday! But then Bio was SO fun with the virus computer game thing XD Me and Abi rule at that. Business was okay too since we got to get on the computers.. Careers was alright as well since we.. got.. to get on the computers (seeing a trend?) Though too bad
Jinny was gone sick :/ poor jinny. Then it was lunch. Ray's so wonderful; he's so fun and stuff but he's also really caring and concerned :D MAN we need to hang out! And Joo rules too, always so lending and giving with her food and money. Hehe.
Then I had Deutsch and my peers were annoying me and heather with their stupidity (anja and her "you could have put 'meat salad'!!" I mean really now, wth's a meat salad?) so... I escaped XD to give Schmiernoff his deutsch Lektion drei. It was fun and very against school rules ("Aren't you supposed to be, um, in class right now?" XD) but hell, I got away with it so it's legit. Muahahaaa.
Track was so good too even though I wasn't prepped (I forgot most of my track clothes and etc.) and the workout was hard like crazy. It felt really good to work so hard though, and Mr. Mangrum was really happy with me after practice. I felt so motivated! :D I talked to Travis a lot too (waaah I felt so bad about you-know-who! but he seemed pretty okay with it.. more mad than sad, y'know?) and we're going to make each other hats for Crazy Hat Day on Wednesday's track practice.. XDD I'm so excited!!! I'm going to make him the most -embarrassing- hat I can think of... *ponders evilly*

Hehehe I'm posting this at school! :D I'm in Intro to Business at the moment and I just had this assignment about different types of businesses for different nations. It was terribly fun [/sarcasm] :P Oh well, at least it wasted time. I'm happy though; I got my crazy hat for track from Travis! It's so "beautiful"... I wore it all during bio, got some weird stares and questions, but it's all good!
Twenty more minutes til end of class...
