Oh God.

This worries me:
The "how much do you like rocks?" Test
by rockfreak
Rocks in your head
You scored 82% geology points!
|
|
You are as sick and twisted as I am. You probably have a degree in
geology or are really close to it. You probably have no personal life
and think rocks make much better friends than humans. You'd probably
spend most of your time figuring out the petrology of the rocks in the
floor of the Sistene chapel instead of seeing Michelangelo's handywork.
Save yourself while you still can! |

This test tracked 1 variable. How the score compared to the other people's: | Higher than 76% on geology points |

A pause in my tabu/LJ hiatus to say..
Posted by nfpvic at 07:11 PM on October 14, 2005.
I LOVE GEOLOGY I LOVE GEOLOGY I LOVE GEOLOGY I LOVE GEOLOGY GEOLOGY IS SO EASY I MEMORIZE EVERYTHING ON FIRST READ/HEAR I TOTALLY LOVE GEOLOGY MAN I AM GOING TO GET AN A++ ON THE TEST ON MONDAY AND AN EASY 4.0 FOR THE QUARTER EASY EASY EASY.
(yes, I am using the "knowledge bowl" strategy, in which one replaces a certain 'h-word,' or perhaps, 'f-ing h-word' with the word 'love' and pretends it true. yes, I hope it works better than it did in knowledge bowl.)
AND I have an evil headache that smarts sumpdin' orful; thank God it's Friday and not Saturday, Sunday, or Monday morning.
Will update later, after retarded Geology shit insightful, completely useful and fascinating knowledge regarding Geology is acquired.
Oh God, and exam on Chapter 5 on Monday too. Plus I think the take-home test is due. Oh shit, and a quarter's worth of homework of which I have two sections undone.

Just JOKING, I'm still a nerd! 8D
Posted by nfpvic at 04:47 PM on September 6, 2005.
Monkee (and juzer too, if you want XD), you can call me a nerd again!
So, went to the eye doctor again today, and during our "refitting" chat, it appears that my astigmatism is so bad that in order to fully correct it, I'd need to either a) pay 1 million dollars and get these special soft-but-not-really "weighted" contacts which I would have to reposition all special and whatever every time I put it in, or b) get creepy scary hard contacts and go through weeks and weeks of finding the perfect fit and crap. Or else, I could just "get used to" the blurry vision and kind of itchy eyes.
This morning, my eyes felt all dry and angry, putting my contacts in again was CRAP (the first one made me get woozy again), the six hours that I had to keep them in felt SO LONG, getting them out was a MIRACLE of GOD (damn you left eye lens! seriously, it was stuck!), putting them back in AGAIN was torture, DRIVING to the mall was insane, and then after hearing all that, I was just like, "... I want my glasses back." XD;
Ah well. Contacts are nice, but glasses don't involve poking around in my eyes or spending one million dollars. Usually.

Dang. DANG.
Posted by nfpvic at 05:41 PM on September 5, 2005.
FIRST OFF: Saturday and Sunday were SOMUCHFUNOMG. I love Meg, Abi, and Kat. And also, cupcakes w/ delicious, delicious frosting.
SECOND.
I got contacts. HOLY CRAP. At least, I have a trial/diagnostic pair. It's soo weird! And I blink like, 3 times every 7 seconds, or I 3/7 blink every one second.
Comments:
+ OMG, I look WEIRD. Meaning, BAD. XD But I think I'll get used to it.
+ HOLY LORD, people who've told me that my eyes are GIGANTIC (aka Meg, Kat) are completely and utterly correct. My eyes are so huge-looking now that they seriously kind of freak me out each time I look in the mirror. I'm so confused. HOW DID I GET THOSE GIGANTO-EYES? I'm half-Asian, dammit!
+ Waaah, I can try on sunglasses now! :D
+ Bah, I have a bad astigmatism, and so everything's still kind of blurry. But Nice Mr. Doctor said that I'll get new ones that correct it soon, once I figure out the best pair for me.
+ I think my nose looks better. Less like a triangle. But my skin looks dirtier. XD
+ OH, my prescription was so high and I've had glasses for so long that right after I put on one contact lens (and saw the world all half-clear) my body tweaked out and I almost fainted/puked. It was bad. ^^; Now I'm good though!
I'm going to try to post every 1-2 day(s) from now on. And I'll try to respond to comments on time. I love futile, bound-to-fail goal-setting. XD
And I laugh heartilly at those who have to go to school tomorrow.

NEW MYSPACE PROFILE
Posted by nfpvic at 08:18 AM on August 29, 2005.
Check out my new myspace profile, you guys!
Version Two: Back to School! A complete 180-degree change from communism. XD Warning: It's ultra, almost disgustingly cute, and much more "myspace"-like.
Nonetheless, everything's much cleaner than my first layout, both in design and coding. And HOLY CRAP, if you tell me that my first layout looked better, I WILL STRANGLE YOU, as this took me so much longer because it was mouse-drawn (though not nearly as long to code thanks to the help of REALLY clever myspace nerds ^^). It's kind of a little plain for my tastes, but I'm pretty satisfied with it as a whole. No huuuge space at the bottom, either! :D
So yeah, you HAVE TO go see and comment if you have a myspace (and tell me if I made any coding mistakes, which I probably did).
PLUS, I reveal a (pretty obvious) secret:
Which boy do I ♥? It's pretty scandalous too, because he's kind of really already "taken," but you know.. can't deny the truth! XD (yes, this IS a cheap ploy to get more people to view my new design. I hope it works.
GO SEE NOW!)

Telling the world.
Posted by nfpvic at 11:00 PM on August 12, 2005.
Sorry for triple-posting from my LJ and tabu, but I have to tell the world.
So today, I was driving to teriyaki as usual. I had my window rolled down since it was hot and I forgot to lock the doors, and when I was stopped at the light right before I had to turn into the T&J Teriyaki place, the dude in the car next to me started talking to me. He was old (err like in his 30's) and was like "Hey what's your name? C'mon baby don't be scared." NEEDLESS TO SAY, I was freaking out. So when I pulled into Caro's, I just
booked into the restaurant where there were friends and safety, and after a few minutes everything was fine and we had a great time.
BUT THEN, when Kat and I left and were going to my car, we saw something gray on the cement. Kat was like, "Holy crap, is that your cell phone?" Apparently in my mad dash to Caro's place,
I dropped my cell phone -completely- in the open for anyone to steal for about, oh, 3 hours. And there are plenty of ghetto and homeless people who hang around that part of S. Tacoma Way, trust me.
I am so, so thankful that it was not stolen; I've seriously had the weirdest luck with cell phones (remember the Ohio thing?). And it's things like this that reaffirm my belief in Jesus. There is NO REASON why my cell phone was NOT taken or run over or whatnot.. yet it was (and is) perfectly fine. I firmly believe that it was Jesus guarding my cell phone, and also my life (if you know my parents, you know what I mean by that. XD)
Anyway, here's an illustration:
THANK YOU JESUS!! I LOVE YOU!!

Brain stuff, contests, etc.

Happy August, my compadres! Internet-wise, I've been kind of dead recently, spending the last few days figuring out things about my life and future.
I have firmly and happily concluded:
1) Screw the Ivies and SAT II's and all those super-expensive colleges. I'm going to UW and getting my BA over with in 2 years so I can move on to UW Grad School (in the top 10 in the nation for the field I'm going into... which is:)
2) I'm going to major in computer science and minor in English! :D Yep, going to pursue my two true loves in life instead of joining the "prestige and money" bandwagon.
3) I plan to someday start my own business and someday win the Nobel Prize for literature. (hey, if Wang Lung can do it.. XD)
4) I really want to study abroad in S. Korea.
5) I am going to marry freaking 비.
(Check out my husband, everyone.)
Anyway, I have one more
important announcement:
I entered a banner at
Condensation for their banner contest!! Actually, I'm only a fan of Skip Beat and Cat Street (same mangaka as HYD) and so the prize of http d/ls is not
that extaordinary (esp. since I frequent irc), but it's all about PRIDE AS A NERD.
SO VOTE NUMBER 10!
VOTE NUMBER 10!
VOTE NUMBER 10!
VOTE NUMBER 10!
VOTE NUMBER 10!
VOTE NUMBER 10!
VOTE NUMBER 10!
VOTE NUMBER 10!
VOTE NUMBER 10!
VOTE NUMBER 10!
VOTE NUMBER 10!
That is, if you feel my entry is best. WHICH YOU DO. XD
Here's my banner, by the way:

Isn't it awesome? XP
NOW GO VOTE! And tell all your friends to vote too! :D

WELCOME BACK, CHO CHONG.
Posted by nfpvic at 04:48 PM on July 30, 2005.
KAT'S BACK! She's been back since Wednesday though. Oh man, as she said, yesterday was such a fun day of teriyaki! And I got to go shopping with my mom (both Thursday and today ^^). Since my last post (fifteen days ago o__o; ) I got some new clothes and a few new website idears! Will elaborate later, maybe after the unveiling. :D
Has anyone else read this story on
Comcast?
http://datelance.com/
SALT LAKE CITY - The friends and co-workers of Lance Archibald say it's time for him to get hitched. To help the process along, they've mounted a billboard campaign and created a Web site where interested women can log in and apply to be selected for a date. The billboard is located on Interstate 15 near Lindon, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City.
"I'm Lance, Lets go out!" the billboard reads.
Lance's crazy friends are my newest heroes. And
Lance is adorable. "Oh. My. Gosh." XD
(Oh yeah, I got tagged with some schnazz)
